March 4, 2024 - I made a sweater for my niece :)
I got the pattern from Family Crochet 2022. It turned out so good! |
February 7, 2024 - I finished the blanket and then gave it as a gift to my daughter's boyfriend- and I didn't take a picture of it finished! I ended up making it lap blanket sized because I ran out of gray yarn... that's the problem with using up what you have. I also didn't end up weaving in yarn crossways because I thought that would make it too busy for a teenage boy. I really liked the way it looked with simple gray and black stripes and holes in a pattern. I would do the pattern again with the proper amounts of yarns.
January 7, 2024 - I have an abundance of black yarn, and so I decided to prioritise a project that is quick and easy to get started because I already have what I need.
This is the pattern I've taken inspiration from. The pattern is from a Crochet World magazine that I picked up years ago at a thrift store. |

I lost patience with following the instructions and made a best guess at what the pattern is trying to do. It's going to look very different with a dark colour scheme. Once I'm finished the black and gray horizontal stripes, I'll have to decide on colours for the vertical stripes. I'm sure I have a few colours that will work. |
January 5, 2024 - It's a new year and I need a new project. I am deciding between a crochet-along blanket that uses random yarns you already have and buying some lovely bamboo yarn to make a sweater. OR I could unravel an ugly sweater I have and make a new one. I've never tried re-using yarn before. Maybe I should start a quick project in the meantime since I can't decide.
