Day 9

My early night last night backfired. I was wide awake at 10 and couldn't get back to sleep until 12. From then on I slept well. I have an urge to disrupt our evening routine to avoid anything that might hurt this great run of no drinking, but going to bed THAT early is not going to work. I think the whole family enjoys sitting together once a day and watching TV. It's not exciting, but it's relaxing and nice. Not as nice as it was with a drink but it sure is good for the kids to see us enjoy ourselves without alcohol. It's also a snacking time of night, I guess at that time I'm just more likely to make bad choices in general.

Ways to stop making bad choices during show time:

* Healthier alternatives for snacks and drinks.
* Meditation/Deep Breathing
* Something to do with my hands. Like crochet, fidget toy, etc.
* Have some treats, but limit portion size.
